OVERVIEW

Revitalizing Aescape’s massage content approach

Aescape is a first-of-its-kind wellness robotics company making automated bodywork a reality with cutting-edge technology. During my time at Aescape, the most crossdisciplinary project I worked on was introducing the massage content library. This project formed in response to my development of a comprehensive system for image curation and treatment to ensure a unified aesthetic approach. The new content imagery not only provides visual clarity but communicates the dynamic massage treatment only Aescape can offer.

CONTENT LIBRARY

Scroll, Sort, Soothe, Repeat

With Aescape offering fifteen different massages, the team identified pain points in the existing massage selection tools. We implemented a content library to make it easier for users to browse the available massages and implemented filters for better sorting. This led to a further restructure of the massage selection flow on Engage, the massage table’s interface.

CURATION

Selections with a Spine

The previous stock image selection for Aescape’s content was lacking a distinct point of view–And with a limited budget, the solution had to lie within stock photography. To solve this, I built and implemented a curation protocol that directly aligns the image culling to the three offered massage categories.

IMAGE FILTERS

Massage in Full Spectrum

I created a trio of image filters to support the therapeutic outcomes of Aescape’s massages. Developed with the research team, I deployed a bespoke blur effect to represent the physical and mental outcomes of bodywork. Color overlays play a significant role to distinguish the three types of massage from one another.
